The tasteful and moving 2-4 minute DVD used local actors to dramatize the plight of thousands of 12-17 year girls in California annually.  Without question, protecting the innocence of our children is a high priority, yet in a recent study of 46,000 junior high and high school pregnancies in our state, 33,000 or 7 out of 10 times, the father averaged over 22 year of age.

Just as our little girls are ready to blossom into beautiful women and eventually wives and mothers, sexual predators are taking advantage of their innocence, devastating their childhood and marring their futures.

Worse still, these older men often coerce our minor daughters into secret surgical abortions to eliminate the evidence of their crime, allowing them to continue their cycle of sexual abuse.

Prop. 73 was lost by a very narrow margin.  This was due, in part, by the Governor calling an unanticipated Special Election that moved the time table for the vote up 7 months.  Had the election been held at its regularly scheduled time this video's audience would have no doubt influenced the final result which may have been quite different.
